JMers at the one-year-old Hillsboro, Texas plant are spreading holiday cheer this season by giving back to their community.
The JM team recently visited the Boys and Girls Club of Hill County and presented a cash donation of $5,000 raised by JMers at the plant. The Boys and Girls Club is a nonprofit organization that helps younger generations realize their full potential and helps create responsible, caring and productive citizens. The plant will be partnering with the club again in 2023 for other volunteer and donation efforts.
“Things like this make me proud to be a part of the JM Hillsboro team! Here’s to 2023,” said Human Resources Specialist Susana Perez.
The team also supported local furry friends by donating pet food, cat litter, treats and bedding to a local animal shelter. The shelter posted on Facebook to express its gratitude.
“Thank you, Susana Perez and Johns Manville. We welcome [Johns Manville] to Hillsboro and are very appreciative for your wonderful gifts to make the lives of these pets better while they await their forever homes.”
Another act of kindness from Hillsboro was donations made to a local nursing home that is underfunded. The JMers purchased shoes and clothes for the residents to open on Christmas.
Thank you, Hillsboro JMers for making a difference in your community!
