BURSI Hits the Road

The Better Understanding of Roofing Systems Institute (BURSI), a 51-year-old furthering education program, hits the road. Certified by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), BURSI provides educational training for architects, consultants, specifiers, and owners.
JM kicked off the BURSI Roadshow on May 11, 2023 in Pompano, Florida. Consultant, architects, specifiers, and owners had the chance deepen their knowledge on ISO, cover boards, modified, single ply, wrapping up with a demo.
On the following day, a contractor training event was held. Though not an officially accredited course, attendees were able to work directly with three JM Field Techs for hands-on training. Stations were set up to allow each person to watch first, then master the skill on their own. The group was a mix of office personnel to field technicians, with experience ranging from expert level to brand new.
The next stop was Atlanta for a day and a half BURSI. The class was provided a mix of modules from both Level One and Level Two. After the first day of classroom sessions, the group headed to Truist Park for a Braves vs. Phillies Game. We aren’t sure yet if it was the free OutKast bobblehead or because the crowd knew BURSI was in town, but attendance at the game was the third largest in history! One attendee shared their positive experience with us, “The speakers were very knowledgeable and informative on their specified topics, some complex sections, yet easy to understand.”
