It was super hard for some JMers in Penbryn, N.J., to settle their Super Bowl bet.
“I cannot begin to tell you how it pained me to put that jersey on!” HR Manager Janet Mclaughlin said.
Earlier this year, the plant managers in Penbryn (near Philadelphia) and McPherson, KS, (near Kansas City) made a friendly wager over the Super Bowl. Matt Brown (Penbryn) and Terry Spencer (McPherson) agreed that leaders at the losing plant would purchase and wear the jerseys of the winning team before sending the jerseys to the winning plant for its leadership team to enjoy.
The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in the big game.
“Attached is a picture of us modeling them per our wager,” Matt wrote in an email to Terry. “I thought for sure I would get a new Philly jersey out of the bet. I can tell you that this was a difficult assignment for several of the folks in the picture.”
The jerseys were delivered to McPherson this month.
