Open Roof Week 2023

After a few years off from hosting visitors, The Johns Manville South Gate bituminous plant was delighted to welcome local contractors and distributors for an Open Roof Week Event in May! While a wet California winter has been keeping local contractors busy, attendance was worth it as guests were treated to a full day of live demonstrations, expert tips-and-tricks, networking and of course, a taco truck.
Visitors started off with a plant tour to witness the manufacturing process of both APPeX and Dibiten membranes. These polyester reinforced products are produced specifically for flexibility, dimensional stability, and quick installations, so groups were able to see just how the magic happens. Local technical representatives then provided training on heat welding APP systems, APP detail work, and self-adhered SBS installations.
Both customers and distributors were able to ask questions and receive in depth education on these systems, making the event beneficial to all expertise levels.
