MinWool Sound Attenuation Fire Batt (SAFB) - Canada
Johns Manville MinWool Sound Attenuation Fire Batt (SAFB) insulation is manufactured from inorganic fibres derived from volcanic rock. Noncombustible and moisture-resistant, the lightweight and flexible batts are designed to deliver excellent noise control in metal-stud wall cavities of interior partitions, exterior walls or above suspended ceiling systems. As excellent sound absorbers, these batts improve the wall assembly Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings by up to 10dB.
