At Johns Manville, we’re committed to the details that matter to you. We offer a range of fiberglass duct wrap solutions that provide traditional sheet metal ducts with improved thermal insulation. Our duct wrap is available in a variety of densities, thicknesses and with or without facings. Installing contractors prefer it for many reasons, including improved handling, easier cutting and less dust. Microlite Standard duct wrap is an un-faced thermal and acoustical blanket insulation made from flame attenuated fiberglass.

Johns Manville’s Microlite® Standard  duct wrap is a thermal and acoustical blanket insulation made from flame attenuated glass fibers. It offers a high tensile strength core for improved handling and easy installation. Microlite Standard comes unfaced and can be used where a vapor barrier is not required. This product provides a solution for a variety of applications that require thermal and acoustical performance.

Johns Manville’s Microlite® Vinyl duct wrap is a thermal insulation made from flame attenuated glass fibers. It is made with a phenolic binder and laminated onto a white, vinyl facing. Microlite Vinyl delivers a high tensile strength core for improved handling and easy installation.

Johns Manville 800 Series Spin-Glas® equipment and external duct insulation provides a broad range of solutions to meet your unique application needs. The breadth and depth of our product availability includes plain, FSK, AP (ASJ), or Ultra (poly-top) faced board, where the facing acts as a vapor retarder. You can be assured you are getting the same superior performance from the facing as the insulation because we manufacture both to the highest quality standards. 800 Series Spin-Glas board is easily fabricated for an excellent finished appearance on duct and equipment systems.

It is recommended for HVAC system exteriors or surfaces where design parameters prohibit the use of liner or board. Installing contractors prefer Microlite's binder for many reasons, including improved handling, easier cutting and less dust. The Microlite® PSK Duct Wrap Seaming Tape is designed to provide a vapor barrier seal on JM’s PSK-faced Microlite duct insulations. The tape is offered in white or black to match the two color offerings (white and black) of our PSK-faced Microlite duct insulations. Microlite seaming tape is tear-resistant and offers a super high-tack, acrylic adhesive that bonds tightly to surfaces. The tape can be used on applications that operate within a wide temperature range: -20°F – 260°F/-29°C -126°C.

Duct Insulation Knives are designed to smoothly cut fiberglass insulation. The sharp blade cleanly slices through the fiberglass and facing without snagging the material. The wooden handle is easy to hold and curved to fit the hand. This is the preferred duct knife by experts throughout the industry, as well as JM’s leading team of plant and field professionals.

Duct knives are shipped in master cartons. Each master carton consists of 10 boxes of 10 knives each. The minimum order quantity is one master carton (100 knives total).

When using or handling JM’s Duct Insulation Knives, be sure to use the appropriate PPE and keep your hands clear of the blade. Duct Insulation Knives should be used for their intended purposes only.

Microlite® Black PSK Formaldehyde-free™ duct wrap offers excellent thermal control with the added benefit of a black-coated PSK facing that is ideal for aesthetic applications. It is recommended for exposed applications inside the building envelope, such as open ceilings with exposed duct work. Our manufacturing process ensures insulation consistency during production, which results in reliable product quality. Polyisocyanurate foam board designed to insulate rooftop ducts and HVAC equipment

The XSPECT® ISOfoam APF board is a closed-cell polyisocyanurate foam core bonded to a foil facer on both sides. It is a highly versatile insulation that can be used in a variety of mechanical and OEM applications, including rooftop ducts, appliances, HVAC equipment, refrigerated transportation, storage vessels, and railcars.

XSPECT ISOfoam APF board offers one of the highest R-values of any rigid insulation available, making it ideal for both hot and cold applications. The foil facer on the insulation operates as an excellent vapor-retarder, working in tandem with the closed cell foam to contribute to a tightly sealed system. Additionally, the lightweight foam makes it easy to fabricate and install.
