The Midwest Insulation Contractors Association (MICA) is an Omaha-based professional organization whose members comprise a dynamic association of commercial and industrial insulation contractors, abatement contractors, manufacturer/distributors, material supply firms, and other affiliates that interact with the insulation industry. The Association has gained a following for its annually-published National Commercial and Industrial Standards Manual.
First published in 1979, the Manual established standardized guides for designing, specifying and installing thermal insulation and has gained wide acceptance as a reliable source of technical information for the design specification and installation of commercial and industrial solutions — a useful resource for engineers, contractors and plant managers. The new 7th edition has updated designs for text and plates and an updated materials and properties section, and you can order it here .
