Johns Manville facings provide moisture control, assists in the handling and installation of the faced insulation products and provide added serviceability of the installed insulation. Facings
35 TL
Johns Manville 35TL facing is a flame-retardant vapor barrier facing manufactured using lightweight aluminum foil (.0003” [9 micron]), fiberglass reinforcing yarn and natural kraft paper laminated together with a flame-retardant adhesive. 35TL facing is mold and mildew resistant for added product protection and is typically used as a facing for fiberglass duct wrap and duct board.
35 RC
Johns Manville 35RC facing is a flame-retardant vapor barrier facing manufactured using lightweight aluminum foil (.0003” [9 micron]), fiberglass reinforcing yarn and natural kraft paper laminated together with a flame-retardant adhesive. 35RC facing is mold and mildew resistant for added product protection and is typically used as a facing for fiberglass duct wrap.
50 TL
Johns Manville 50TL facing is a flame-retardant vapor barrier facing manufactured using lightweight aluminum foil (.0005” [11 micron]), fiberglass reinforcing yarn and natural kraft paper laminated together with a flame-retardant adhesive. 50TL facing is mold and mildew resistant for added product protection and is typically used as a facing for fiber duct board.
ASJ-4535
Johns Manville ASJ-4535 facing is a flame-retardant vapor barrier facing manufactured using lightweight aluminum foil (.0003” [9 micron]), fiberglass reinforcing yarn and bleached kraft paper laminated together with a flame-retardant adhesive. ASJ-4535 facing is mold and mildew resistant for added product protection and is typically used as a facing for rigid fiberglass pipe insulation.
FFBI Facing
Johns Manville FFBI Facing is manufactured using natural kraft paper laminated with 0.00025 lightweight aluminum foil for improved permeance compared to plain kraft facing. FFBI facing is coated with a thermoplastic asphalt coating on one side that is used to bond fiberglass insulation to the facing in a subsequent manufacturing process. In addition, FFBI facing is manufactured with a folded tab to provide stapling flanges for installation. As an added benefit, the facing’s uncoated side can be printed with the Original Equipment Manufacturer’s logo.
FSK-25 BI
Johns Manville FSK-25 BI facing is a flame-retardant vapor barrier facing manufactured using lightweight aluminum foil (.0003” [9 micron]), fiberglass reinforcing yarn and natural kraft paper laminated together with a flame-retardant adhesive. It is coated with a thermoplastic asphalt coating on one side that is used to bond fiberglass insulation to the facing in a subsequent manufacturing process. FSK-25 BI facing is mold and mildew resistant for added product protection and is manufactured with a folded tab to provide stapling flanges for installation.
FSK-25 Cap Sheet
Johns Manville FSK-25 is a flame-retardant vapor barrier facing manufactured using 0.0003 lightweight aluminum foil, fiberglass reinforcing yarn and natural kraft paper laminated together with a flame-retardant adhesive. FSK-25 facing is designed for use over unfaced fiberglass insulation in applications that require faced insulation to comply with ASTM E-84 and is attached to the wall or ceiling with staples or mechanical fasteners.
GL-30
Johns Manville GL-30 facing is a flame-retardant vapor barrier facing manufactured using a lightweight, white metalized polypropylene film (.00125”), fiberglass reinforcing yarn and natural kraft paper laminated together with a flame-retardant adhesive. GL-30 facing is mold and mildew resistant for added product protection and is typically used as a facing for metal building insulation.
GL-VR
Johns Manville GL-VR facing is a flame-retardant vapor barrier facing manufactured using a lightweight polypropylene film (.00125”), fiberglass reinforcing yarn and natural kraft paper laminated together with a flame-retardant adhesive. GL-VR facing is mold and mildew resistant for added product protection and is typically used as a facing for metal building insulation.
KFBI Facing
Johns Manville KFBI facing is manufactured using extensible kraft paper coated with a thermoplastic asphalt coating on one side. The asphalt coating is used to bond fiberglass insulation to the facing in a subsequent manufacturing process. As an added benefit, the facing’s uncoated side can be printed with the Original Equipment Manufacturer’s logo and can be manufactured with a folded tab to provide stapling flanges for installation or without a tab for friction fit applications.
