Johns Manville Continues Progress to Opening New Polyiso Plant, Reinforcing Commitment to our Customers and Hillsboro Community

Construction of Johns Manville’s new 420,000 sq ft Polyiso plant and distribution center in Hillsboro, TX is nearing completion! While the checklist to completion is still in progress, there are a few key milestones to celebrate as we inch closer to the official opening in the first quarter of 2022. Some additional accomplishments so far: Plant Manager, Josh Canada and team are working to hire a complete staff, the plant’s official Certificate of Occupancy is in place, and product has started arriving to stock the distribution center, which is the first operational portion of the building scheduled to officially open on December 6, 2021.

Johns Manville Roofing Plant Hiring in Hillsboro, Texas

JM values employees and the communities they live and work in and we are honored to invest in the town Hillsboro, bringing 50 new jobs to the local economy and looking forward to long-term growth in the roofing industry. The town of Hillsboro and the Hillsboro Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) recently celebrated a first-time award in it’s nearly 30-year history, they received the Community Economic Development Award (CEDA), presented by the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC).  With this momentum, JM is excited to continue the hiring process and complete the much anticipate new team in Hillsboro. Johns Manville Receives Official Certificate of Occupancy in Hillsboro, Texas

It’s official, we received our Certificate of Occupancy and continue progress towards a grand opening of all plant operations in Q1 of 2022. The decision to open a new Polyiso plant and increase product availability reinforces our commitment to our customers and investments to creating growth and opportunities for the Hillsboro community.

Johns Manville Roofing Distribution Center Officially Opens in Hillsboro, Texas

JM is thrilled to invest in the town of Hillsboro, TX and offer an economical benefit of the plant being a short distance to the largest consolidation of roofing contractors in the nation, located in the Southwest region. We have transitioned material to the new Hillsboro distribution center and have officially opened for outbound shipments and customer pick-ups as of December 6, 2021.
